Career Highlights

— Understanding User Experience —

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the economy took a nosedive, my publishing company had no choice but to close up shop. Our income came from small businesses that were also struggling to stay afloat. Instead of getting bogged down by the tough situation, I decided to use this time to level up my skills. I enrolled in a 12-week UX design bootcamp, all while helping my kids navigate their online elementary schooling. This way, I could adapt to the changing times and keep moving forward.

Halka - I developed a mental health app called Halka exclusively for long-haul truckers. The app provides a range of mental health resources and support, including stress-management techniques, meditation exercises, and access to a licensed therapist via video chat. It also includes a community forum where truckers can connect with one another and share their experiences.

LynnwoodRotary.com - I revamped a Rotary Club's website by conducting UX research and developing an optimized Information Architecture. I then used my insights to build out the website, demonstrating the value of a well-designed website for community marketing.
